About Eddie
Eddie Chow is a Senior Physiotherapist at Melbourne Headache Solutions in Brunswick. He graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from The University of Queensland and works with many people who have lived with migraine or persistent headaches for years and have not yet found a clear explanation or structured plan.
Eddie has a strong clinical interest in cervicogenic headaches (headaches that originate from the neck), vertigo, and neck pain. He has a focused interest in assessing the upper cervical spine — the top joints of the neck — because dysfunction in this region can contribute to certain headache and migraine presentations. These issues may not always appear on imaging and are not always assessed in detail during standard consultations. He frequently sees patients who say, “my scans are normal but the headaches won’t stop,” or “I get dizzy every time I move my head quickly.”
Like all our practitioners, Eddie uses the Melbourne Migraine Protocol — a structured assessment framework designed to identify your unique migraine and headache drivers. Rather than applying a generic treatment, Eddie uses the RESET framework (Regulate, Eliminate, Stabilise, Energise, Thrive) to map out exactly what is triggering your symptoms and what is preventing recovery.
His treatment approach is predominantly hands-on manual therapy, supported by tailored therapeutic exercises. He has completed the Watson Headache Approach Level 1 and advanced training in dry needling for the cervical spine, TMJ (jaw), and upper quadrant, as well as a dedicated course in BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo) — a common cause of dizziness and spinning sensations. The goal is not just short-term relief, but to build a clear roadmap to reduce the frequency and severity of your symptoms and improve your overall brain health.
Outside the clinic, Eddie enjoys running and consults in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
