You get up and say 30 minutes an hour later then your neck is feeling better or your headache is improving then that's more of an indicator as well that's more likely to be your jaw rather than your neck but your jaw has a significant impact on your neck. There is a very big connection between the two and we'll be wanting to look at both of those if you're always stiff in through your neck.

  • If you're always tightening through your neck and always uncomfortable and that's a big indicator that your neck is contributing and causing your headaches and migraines.

  • If  your pain moves around your head so sometimes you've got your pain at the front other times it's at the back then that's a strong indicator that your headache or your migraine is caused by your neck.
  • If you're always irritated by things like the gym so you go to the gym and then you're always tightening through your shoulders or your neck, you know it always sets off a headache or you try to go for a jog and you just always come back feeling irritated or headachy then that's a sign that your neck is likely causing your headaches or your migraines.

There's only one time that we get worried about exercise or exertion that will set off a headache or a migraine and that's If it creates a sudden sharp really intense headache or a migraine which is an exertional headache or migraine. We want to be more concerned about those, but if it's setting off your regular headache or your regular migraine then it's more likely to be your neck. Otherwise, if you're always tied around with bad postures as well for example, you're working your desk and you're finding that you know towards the end part of the day or you get into the afternoon and you're going okay, well this is always irritating and always setting off a headache and a migraine then that's a good indication that your neck is contributing or causing your headaches and migraines.
